very rough idle but great at WOT
Today I was installing a new A-pillar pod to add a trans temp gauge and swapped my mechanical oil pressure gauge for an electric one. While trying to get the oil pressure sending unit installed I disconnected two spark plug wires from the dizy as well as the two wires for that lead into the dizy for easier access. I replaced the two wires and one plug wire but forgot the other like an idiot.
The car turned over, I backed it off the ramps and noticed the bad idle and had my facepalm moment when I knew what I did. I immediately turned it off and replaced the wire. Now the car is having a very rough idle, like it was when the wire was disconnected, so my first thought is I fouled the plug.
I thought maybe there was a buildup of fuel in the cylinder and that could cause the issue so I took it for a quick ride to try and burn it out. I smashed the pedal and the car launched better than it usually does which I was not expecting, especially if the plug was fouled.
I was due for a plug change anyways so I will probably tackle that later this week, but if that doesn't solve it I have no idea what to do.
Any thoughts on what happened or how I can resolve this?
