My rebuild

Bought car in January of this year. Been a long road, but finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Engine was pulled, broken down, and everything was looked at abd either replaced if needed or cleaned if it was still in good condition. Purple power and simple green have become my friends.

I know the engine color may not be the favorite of some, but I have been dreaming of this for a long time. Pics are attached and I also have red plug wires. In the fall, car is going to be painted satin black and iroc z on the side will be in red. Calipers will also be painted red. After the first of the year, I want to change the interior to all black.

As I said, I know some may not like the colors, but I love it.

New piston. Spun a bearing, all others were in great condition.

New seals

Cylinder walls looked amazing for having 148k miles on the car

Picture was taken tonight before I came in for the night

What intake runners are those? They look bigger than stock in those pics.

They are the ones that came with the car when I bought it. I assumed they were stock.

Re: My rebuild

Is that a screwdriver/prybar as a spacer on the alternator?

Yes, had to order some new bolts. Some were either stripped during tear down, looked like crap or were lost.

Thank you. Still a lot of work to do, but hoping to have a running car in month. My boys want me to take them to school in it with the T-tops off.

I bet they do! That's funny because my son tells me to drive my car the days I pick him up from after school tutoring LOL
