Engine: 383 built
Transmission: 1995 camaro t56 6 speed
Axle/Gears: 3.24 posi 9 bolt
stroker question
Is it possible to build a 305 tpi 1988 gta centerbolt into a stroker?

You can spend twice as much on that as a 350 would cost, and get a 334. Basically a good way to waste a bunch of money and not get something better that you could have gotten by spending ALOT less.

Or, you could stroke THAT, and get AWHOLEHELLUVALOT more than you can ever get out of any 305.

The small bore of the 305 doesn't make it economical to stroke unless you need a smaller engine for something. Just dropping in a 350 is better than stroking a 305. Cost is the same to make a 350 into a 383 as it is to make a 305 into a 334. Short of finding or buying a 350, it's more cost effective to find a 350 to use. Chances are you can probably buy an already built 383 for not much more than what you would have to do to buy a 350 and build one. Even places like Jegs and Summit have 383 short and long blocks in street specs so all the machine shop work is already completed.
