I have been searching for quite some time, but need to bite the bullet as I am getting close to hopefully putting one of my cars back on the road.

Unfortunately, I have to have emissions to pass inspection. So I am in need of an EGR solenoid.

Eckler's seems to have the correct one **listed**, but it's on national back order (which I am assuming it will never get restocked). As a general FYI, it's ecklersfirebird[.]com/firebird-solenoid-valve-egr-1985-1992.html part number 75-279426-1.

So I'm wondering if the corvette (1985-90) solenoid that was referenced in a few threads would also work for me. It seems the threads mention TBI for compatibility, I however have a carb setup. I'm just leary of spending that much money on something without having some votes of confidence that it will work.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
