Will 255's fit on all four corners ?

Will 255/50/VR16's fit on all four corners of an '89 Formula WS6 without rubbing? Would you recommend this size on a 16x8 inch wheel? Thanks for any suggestions.

i placed 255 falken's to rear and those are rubbing to fenders while i'm doing some cornering with moderate amount of throttle

255s in the rear is no problem at all. I think some people run 275s and even 295s without a problem (295s may require some slight inner fender massaging with a hammer).

The front is the only question. I have 245s on the front of my RS (16x8 wheels) without any problem. 255s are only slightly larger, it ought to be OK. Keep in mind though, not all 255s are made equal. I think my 245s are 245/50 or /45. 245/55 might rub. And different brands of 255 are sometimes not exactly the same width... a wider "255" might not fit when a narrower one would. Mine are BFGoodrich Comp T/A VR4s.

P.S. just saw the post that sneaked in ahead of mine. What size wheels do you have, pontiac? I think the 16x8s have deeper offsets than the 15x7s and allow a wider tire. I have 255s on the rear with no rubbing.

I run 255's and have no problems front or rear. I have used Falken and BFG comp z/r's with no problems on 16x8 crosslace GTA type all front offset (puts the wheel farther out on the back)

I'm running 255/50/16 Kumho tires and they fit fine, no rubbing.

iroc5speed: How do you like the Kumhos? They are the ECSTA Supra 712's right? I heard that they seemed to be a little narrower than other tires... I got some 16x8 IROC wheels and I plan on getting these tires for them.

255/50/16's all the way around and the only rubbing I get is on the front sway bar when I turn too sharp,
