Squeeky balancer
I have a 305 in my fbody and the balancer rubs against the timing cover. Is there some kind of spacer or something that I could get to go between them or what? I have pulled the balancer twice and put it back on with space inbetween the two but it seems to move back on me. Thanx.

The rubber that sits between the inside and outside of the harmonic balancer is probably worn away and so the outer part is sliding back ( hence the rubbing). i would replace this as soon as possible but until then spray WD-40 to keep heat down. The lubrication will slow the process of rubbing the metal away and will temporarily take care of the noise.
