Lurching, hesitation - mis fire?

I have an 1984 "G" Anniversary TA. Yesterday car was running fine Today after an oil change car will not go up a hill without a violent lurch or what sounds like a mis fire (perhaps) RPM when trouble occurs is between 2200 to 3000. No power. Car shakes Seems like the transmission cannot make up its mind and stumble. Then bang! This is in Over Drive when I shift into "Drive" car is responsive and does not exhibit the above problems but the engine light turns on. Took it to Auto Zone and Advanced but the light goes on and off and they cannot get an error code. Also when I changed the oil I used a bottle of "Restore" when I changed the oil (which I have used before) I would applicate any suggestions. Thank you!
