Power steering

My steering is hard to turn until things warm up. I am about to flush my ps using a posted guide here. I have owned this car since new, 89 so everything is original. In the event that the flush doesn't correct the issue, I would appreciate any suggestions on rebuilding what I have or swapping/ upgrading. Thanks.
So cool to see everything third gen

Re: Power steering

If you're in BC (and not in the band Chilliwack), you probably need a cold weather PS fluid.

I don't know if GM spec'ed a cold weather fluid back in 1989...check your owner's manual.

My '03 GMC specifies P/N 993294 for Canada, eh. However, my GMC has Hydroboost so it's probably best to consult your manual..
