Very interesting oil leak...need advice...

I have oil coming out of an intake manifold bolt. It's one of the center bolts that goes right thru to the lifter valley. I just did an intake swap not too long ago and for the life of me I can't remember if I used RTV on the threads.

Ya know, this stuff happens out of no where. I wiped up al lthe oil and then drove 20 miles home. Low and behold there was another puddle forming, so I NEED to take care of this.

1. Would it be bad to take out just that bolt and RTV it? Or am I stuck with piling the crap on top of it and hoping for the best? I was thinking I would use super glue, since it's very runny (and would seep in better) and would prolly seal. I know you may laugh, but I don't think super glue will stop me from taking it out unless it was on the threads.

2. There is a bolt and then a washer under it. So I would have to seal the bolt to the washer and then the washer to the intake.

Thanks fellas!

Don't use rtv on those bolts, put some sort of threadsealer on it. I use blue locktite on the threads and I've never had oil seeping out.

You can take it out, use the Loctite PST thread sealer with Teflon. All the intake bolts except for the 4 corner ones go straight into the crankcase, so I'd suggest doing them all, one at a time.

So should I take out one bolt at a time? Or should I take them all out and seal them at the same time?
