Binding Gas Pedal: Stock Carb 305
My accelerator / gas pedal binds during travel down to the floor and won't return without manually pulling it back up. I cleaned up the carb and it has a return spring. At the carb, the linkage snaps back right away and fast so I'm pretty sure it is at the pedal... before I take it all apart I just wanted to confirm if there is a bushing or hinge point I should be replacing. Cheers!

Replaced the pedal... it was a worn bushing where the pedal rod mounts to the body bracket. Gtg!

Great.
Sometimes the pressure on the throttles from engine vacuum, will cause the carb to bind when the engine is running, even though it works fine when the engine is off. In that situation it's usually throttle plate bushing time, and maybe throttle shaft coating too.
