Assistance with instrument cluster
I have 86 Camaro sport I purchased about 6 months ago. It was a show car n great condition. Don't know much about the upgrades but it was stock w/v6 engine and was upgraded to v8 w adds to original engine. Due to the adds I was told the tach never worked after. Only thing n instrument cluster that works is speedometer. Oil, battery, temp, tach and gas gauges do not work. I purchased used instrument cluster on eBay which wouldn't work either. I really don't want to spend $800+ on a new one which doesn't even look the same as the 86. I've had it in a shop a lot and they have no more ideas.

Sounds like you either have a blown gauges fuse, or have the sending units on the engine disconnected.
Start there: fuse good? Then, are they hooked up? You can ground the temp gauge wire and it should peg; ground the OPSU wire and it should zero. Start there.
EFF a bunch of "shop". You have an ANTIQUE car. People with antique cars, other than Jay Leno, learn to do it themselves. We'll help you here, just don't waste any more money that way and then think they've eliminated all the easy stuff and now you have something like alien abduction to solve, because more likely than not, they haven't.
