Stock Hood Question
Ok guys, silly question here; I'm running a SBC 383, with an Edelbrock Performer RPM, which is a dual plane high rise intake, with a 750 Holley Carb on it. I bought the car with an aftermarket fiberglass hood that closes on the engine setup, but it's very close to hitting the air cleaner, which brings me to wonder if a stock IROC hood will close or not. I have run across a very good deal on a good stock hood and want to swap to it if it'll fit with my engine setup; any of you running the same intake/carb setup with a stock hood?
Re: Stock Hood Question
Probably wont fit. You see a lot of thirdgens with holes cut in the hood, or no air cleaner, or those goofy Edelbrock triangle foam aircleaner, because the owner tried to bolt a squarebore carb on the stock spreadbore intake with one of those 1" thick adapters, or just a high rise intake...

Re: Stock Hood Question
Guess I'll have to go take some measurements between my car and the donor car, worse case I guess I'll probably go with a new cowl induction hood when I do the paint and body. The WS6 hood looks ok, but it's finish is a little rougher than what I want on the finished car.
