WHAT YEAR DID GM GO TO THE TWO WIRE HEADLIGHT MOTOR?

I have a 1988 Trans Am, I was wondering what year General Motors switched to the two wire connector for the headlight motors? Or 85 to 90 headlight assemblies interchangeable with an 88? Thank you in advance for any info

87. The only difference in the assemblies should be the motors, but a determined person could look up the part numbers and compare. The Firebird Parts & Illustration catalog was linked in PDF form on the History subforum in the last year or so.
