do I have the wrong cam?

I bought a Lunati roller cam and may have ordered the wrong one 20080721L it works on an LT1 and LT4 but I have a Vortec roller block I believe I should have bought a 20120711L. I dont know how this mix up happened but will this cam work for me?

Re: do I have the wrong cam?

Almost:

The alignment pin is too long; will try to go through the timing cover. Either wiz-wheel it off, or bonk it in almost as far as it will go... not too far though, or it will chew up the front of the block.

And, it may not have a fuel pump eccentric.

That it does have, I put a rod in there and held it in and could feel it move
