Stopped by a place out here in Oklahoma called Atwood's that sells farm stuff to use the restroom and as I was walking out I noticed that they had automotive section and what caught my eyes was a long shelf of different bulk motor oils and they had 5 GT jug's of Full Synthetic 5W-30/10W-30 for $9.99 and regular dino oil for $7.80 !!!!!

It may be called "synthetic" but understand that API has loosened the definition of "synthetic" to include ultra-filtered, highly refined petroleum oils in addition to TRUE synthetic oils like PAO. Look up "Group 3" and "Group 4" oils and you may find further information, like this:
