Rattle/Leak Noise With Deceleration or Clutch IN
I've had this noise for a while but it seems to be getting worse. I poked around under the car when I did the clutch and cant find anything that seems loose.
Right now when I either let off the gas or put the clutch in I get a tingy/rattle/leak like noise. It goes away once the clutch is out or I get back into the gas.
I am thinking maybe something in the cat converter is loose. Does that seem possible? I checked AIR tube clamps ect and it all seemed fine.
Anyone have a similar noise they solved? The car has been

Yes it could be the cat guts, or its heat shield.
Maybe you could probe around under the car and listen, while your assistant varies the gas pedal or whatever, to force it to make the noise.

Finally was able to locate it. It is the butterfly valve in the heat valve on the end of the passenger side manifold in case anyone hears anything similar

A rattling heat riser? I haven't heard one of those in years. The things we forget sometimes seem to outnumber the things we know.
