year of 350
what ear was my 350 built with code V0531PJF (V=Flint, MI), 05 31 (Mo and day), don't know the rest. other numbers on engine are 10243880 and GM5,71 SGI. I think repair shop swapped out my engine while repairing it.
I was originally told it was an 87 Corvette engine. New intake that was put on is made for aluminum heads and mine are cast iron. car runs worse now than before repairs.
just found markings on both sides of block 880.

Re: year of 350
IIRC the 880 block is a roller L31 96-00 truck block and some 95 swirl port head motors. If it has the factory heads they are iron vortec heads (pull the valve cover and get casting number) The two intakes are not compatible. You need a vortec intake for a vortec head.
The good news is that is probably the best factory pre LS block and head that chevy ever made. Take some pics and get the head casting number.
