No electrical power
I have a 1983 Camaro z28 lg4 and I have been having problems since my header y pipe install. At first the check engine light was was and still is on but won't flash when i jump the terminals to check code. It runs fine no issues but now it has shut down to nothing. I started it (right up) and let it warm up to pull in the shade and change my real tail light bulbs. After 5 mins or so I got back in it turned on the A/C and it died instantly. Everything shut down and nothing will turn on. Alternator is fresh, battery is fresh, and engine runs like a top. Anything will help. The terminals are tight, the starter line from positive is clear of header and not damaged. Randy

Re: No electrical power
You'll have to trace power and find out where you are losing it. Sounds like a battery terminal issue, or maybe a charging issue... is the battery fully charged?

Re: No electrical power
thanks GD I'm about to jack it up after it stops raining and look. Back in April or may a rat, mouse or something ate two of the spark plug wires right at distributor. I'm not sure if it got into anything else, but besides the check engine light(after header install) this is the only issue I've had electrically, oh yea and the windshield washer pump turned on by itself and never turned off until I unplugged it. The battery issue is possible but it started the car quickly, the alternator is less than 6 months old. I'll trace everything down. I have all my parts and accessories for ls/t56 swap so this might make me stop pushing it off. Thanks again gd
