87 Firebird Check Engine Code 36

I attempted to do a search, but I am not sure what to search for... I am tired of looking 30 min and nothing is coming back.

I know that the Code 36 is the code for the MAF burn off fault. Here is my brief story. My 87 would run fine, no Check Engine light or anything, but occasionally it would stall when pulling up to a stop light, I swapped out the MAF from another car and it ran fine. I purchased a new MAF and 1 day after use it throws the notorious code 36, the car actually runs fine, does not stall now, but I get code 36.

Is there a resistor or something I can use to fool the relay?
