EGR Solenoid

Replaced my intake with an Eldelbrock high flow. Keeping the EGR setup. My question to the board is does it matter witch vacuum line from the EGR valve goes to the 2 port EGR solenoid ? I'm gonna say the vacuum line from the EGR valve goes to the silver nipple. Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

Thanks in advance

Re: EGR Solenoid

I may be reading this or thinking wrong but one of the ports on the solenoid also vents to make sure the egr closes again. Otherwise it would hold the egr open. If you hooked it up backwards then the vacuum line from the intake side would be sucking atmosphere and the egr would stay open. I remember testing the solenoid to see which line should go to which port.

Again, I may be thinking wrong.
