l98 cam in 305 tbi
I have an 89 camaro with 305 tbi...i have the opportunity of purchasing a 1990 l98 cam for a good price. my question is, is this a direct swap? and yes I do have upgrades including open air element, full exhaust from headers back and currently looking for a rear end swap...i also understand I will need to purchase new valve springs. would i buy stock 305 springs, or springs for an l98? thanks for any help

Yes it is a direct swap.
Your L03 and the L98 are both small block Chevy motors. Springs are the same. You can re-use your existing lifters if they're still good. You do NOT want to spend money on stock springs no matter what, not even if you're using a stock cam. Look at some one of the top-line cam mfr's "entry level" springs, as an example Comp 981. Get the retainers and keepers that go with them, use "positive" seals (NOT umbrella NOT the stock O-rings), and be careful to shim the springs to their recommended height, which for that setup, would be 1.700".
