STARTING A FUEL INJECTED MOTOR OUT OF A VEHICLE?

Anybody ever try it? If not any thoughts on how? I have a 6.0 I picked up a few weeks ago and now may not need it. Dude I bought it from sent me a video of him driving the truck it came out of day before he pulled it. If I go to sell it I'd like to be able to prove it runs. Any ideas?

If you can rig up a pressurized fuel system, and connect a PCM to all the sensors, ignition, injectors, and other loads, it should then be possible. However, that would be a lot of effort just for a one-time test run. Unfortunately, without a PCM even manually seeding it fuel would be no good since you'll need an ICM controlling the coils.

Re: STARTING A FUEL INJECTED MOTOR OUT OF A VEHICLE?

I have the pcm and complete harness with the motor and trans. For the electrical part I think i could just connect a couple wires to a battery. More trying to figure out how to fuel it. I have some miscellaneous fuel lines around, wondering if I could disconnect the feed line from one of my trucks and run it to the fuel rail. My main concern is how much would somebody looking for an lq4 pay If they can't hear it run. I'll give somebody here a good price, but I ain't giving it away...
