92 rs ignition problems

Hey guys I have a 92 RS heritage with a 305 TBI w/ An auto trans. I had some issues the other day and had it towed home to avoid limping and the ignition cylinder broke when i went to start the car to get it on the rollback. Well I've fixed the problems that caused it to be towed replaced the ignition cylinder and What not. Problem I'm having is that now when i turn the ignition nothing happens. I have lights radio power locks alarm. But nothing after the ignition cylinder works. I've already checked the fuseables at the starter checked the fuse box. The last place o get voltage is going into the ignition cylinder. Also found out the spring behind the signal switch that puts tension on the cylinder when you turn it was mangled and is doing nothing.

I'm out of ideas on this one and i know next to nothing about steering columns so any help would be appreciated. Unfortunately I'm having to drive to get internet access atm so updates May take a but

Is your security light on? When you replaced the cylinder did you put in a new one that had the orange wire coming from it? Did you have a new key made correctly with a new chip in it?

Re: 92 rs ignition problems

By no power i mean no flashers can't start the engine roll the widows up etc. Basically i have 12 volts going to the ignition cylinder but not coming out. The new key was cut off the blank that came with the cylinder by the dealership and the peanut resistor was matched (had that problem with the first replacement) I haven't adjusted the switch i may be having a blonde moment but im not sure what you mean by that off the top of my head. I did notice the metal rod on the column isn't moving (not the one for high beam toggle the other one) So I'm going to make sure that's connected in the am weather permitting.

Quick edit: no security light no vats no gaugelights that i can tell but the sun's shining right onto the dash
