Getting into this deal pretty serious today, sure can cause some problems. Search on here gives a wealth of info but I was curious about that little plastic cap thing inside the tank at the top of the pump assembly. Found a junk piece and took it apart. Kind of interesting device, looks like it's pretty foolproof and should cause no trouble. (except for?) Here's the insides:
