I would grab a phone, take video of while its happening, and upload it to youtube and share it here so everyone can have a listen. Be sure you pan out and record what kind of car it is.

If it's like all the rest of cars, quite a few of which make that noise, it's the pressure in the tank changing as the fuel temp changes. Pretty ordinary really.

Check trunk for any...."passengers" 
other than that all I can think of is something wrong/loose with the fuel pump if it's ABSOLUTELY coming from the tank....not the trunk
