Budget Wheels for good Tires

I was wondering what the most cost freindly way to get some high tech rubber on the road for my budget G-machine. I would go for some IROC's but they are still only 16 inch and you cant really get good rubber until 17+ inchers. I have heard of BMW wheels fit on 3rd gens. I would like to get some ZR that will hold 1 g laterally. Any body got Ideas? All are appreciated! Ps dont forget backspacing.

most of the tires that come in 17s come in 16s the nitto extreme 555r II are resonably priced but I haven't used them there is a article on them and the kuhmo 700 victoracers in the latest gmhightechperformance.
