Quick question about IROC lugnuts.

What length do the lugnuts need to be on front IROC wheels. They are different from the back. Right now I have the same size as the back on there and they are so short that I can't hardly get a good bite on the nut with my socket.

The ones on there now are 1.5 inches. Do they make 2" or 2 1/4"?

Thats wierd, they should all be the same length, make sure your rim is sitting flush on the hub, and I dont think longer lug nuts would do any thing, longer studs would. If you have any more questions let me know, this sort of thing is my job.

The lugnuts are the same on all tires... The offset is different on some IROC's, but that's not going to affect the lugs.

Just thought of something, make sure you are putting the rear rims on the rear of the car and the front rims on the front.

I don't think that you guys understand. I get plenty of threads in the lugnut but because of the offset of the front rim the lugnut sinks down almost too far into the recessed area that I can hardly get the socket to get a good bite. I can get a 3/8 drive socket in there but it has such a thin wall that I'm afraid to torque it down too tight. I wish I could post a pic but I can't. Thanks for the replies guys maybe one of you guys can go out and look at the lugnuts on your car.

OHHH i see, you just have to use a thin wall socket, unless its cheap dont worry about it breaking.

Sounds like you don't have the stock lugnuts. What size socket do you have to use on the lugs? I can use a standard 4-way or any socket with my Iroc wheels. It should a 3/4(19mm) socket. You are probably using the larger 13/16(21mm) socket. Try a local parts store for the thin-walled sockets, or here:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/accessories/tools.html
or get a set of the proper 3/4 lugs.

82camaro...That makes sense to me now. I haven't been using the stock lugnuts. I bought these when I got my new chrome IROC wheels and they are 13/16. I'll check some local parts stores for the 3/4". Thanks for the reply.
