Fuel pump on its way out???

So I just cleaned up and topped off the fuel in my 88’ GTA L98 and was on my way to the winter storage area when I opened it up a bit on a nice long straight and the car felt like it had a boat anchor tied to it. Had nothing left at about 75mph...come to think of it it did the same thing last week on the last ride to work. Looks like an original pump and yes the filter was changed about 5k miles ago along with all injectors and fpr diaphragm., no CEL present and it has 81k...sounds like the pump is on its last legs to me, any other thoughts??? Funny thing is I was gonna do a new pump this coming spring, was debating on OEM or a Bosch.

Re: Fuel pump on its way out???

I'd throw a fuel pressure gauge on it to confirm.

Re: Fuel pump on its way out???

I really need to get one of those. I’m pretty sure the check valve or pulsator on it is bad too. Will get it checked out this spring to make sure, anyone have any preference in fuel pump? I plan on keeping it pretty stock so was leaning toward OEM or a Bosch
