Eh - around 225 - 235 at the crank. Being generous.

If its a dual cat car it was supposed to have 235.

Yeah it depends on the option packages. Not that there's a great difference. Good numbers for their day. Pretty pathetic now. There's PLENTY of V6 minivans with more HP..... actually most of them I think. They just don't have the potential of an F body. At least not for the same dollar-per-HP figures. The attractive quality of the F body is the inexpensive upgrade path being it uses essentially 1950's technology.

Oh - and life's too short to stay stock. So those numbers mean nothing.

Re: 89 trans am 350 tpi stock

It's always been funny to me someone with a 230 horsepower car will completely dog out a 170 horsepower car when honestly they are both pretty tame. Don't get me wrong I will never replace a 305 with another 305 because I love the torque of the 350. I also think all these Third gens should have had 350s. At east the 4th gens got that right.

Stomp it off the line at a light and enjoy the torque dude. Who cares about HP. Unless you live next to a track or regularly race Acuras on the highway the hp starts mattering right around the point where the cops take your car away.
