Rod knock? Lifter? Flywheel?

Oil pressure is at 60-80 psi, I haven't torn anything apart yet just wanted some opinions on what this noise could be
. It seems to be a little faster than what a rod knock would sound like..

Sounds like an exhaust leak.

That doesn't sound like valve train. Can you feel it in the clutch pedal or shifter? Does it change in gear with the clutch in? From the vid, I'm thinking TO bearing, flywheel/clutch or transmission. Could be exhaust but sounds more mechanical to me.

At first that's what I thought, but it made that sound when I just had manifolds only on it, I recently put headers and my first part of exhaust on it

I haven't even had the chance to drive it yet, I just bought it not too long ago and I just got it up and running. I think the rhythm is too fast for a rod knock..it kind of sounds like the flywheel. When I get home I'm going to take the inspection plate off and take a look.

Re: Rod knock? Lifter? Flywheel?

That's at crankshaft speed. Rod, main bearing, bad crank damper, flex plate, stuff like that.

Not a valve train or exhaust issue.

Could be an accessory, esp smog pump: you can easily troubleshoot for that by removing the belt.

Wouldn't hurt to localize it to a region of the motor. Top/bottom? Left/right? Front/rear? etc.

Take a piece of heater hose and STICK IT IN YOUR EAR. (I just LOVE telling people to do that!!!) Probe around with the other end, being careful of course to avoid moving parts that can move on their own without warning like cooling fans; find the source.
