Engine block paint color
Hello I have what I believed was a simple question but I can't seem to find the answer. I have a 1987 Z28 and I am looking to find out what color the engine was painted at the factory...Anyone know this...

Re: Engine block paint color
Not a lot of factory engines have a color other than black now.
Decades ago, it was nice to pop the hood of a car and see an orange, blue (many shades), gold engine based on the make and model. Now on modern cars, you pop a hood and you can't even see the engine to see what color it is.
My race block is painted black but I never painted the aluminum heads.

Re: Engine block paint color
Yup, was some sort of "satin" black. Not gloss, not flat; somewhere in between.
