1991 z28 grinding and surging

1991 z28 grinding and surging
I have a 1991 z28 with the 305 tpi. Just last night it started making a grinding noise from some where on the pulley system and my rpms started surging in idle. Im having trouble pin point extactly where the noise is coming from. Any one have any suggestion?

You should post in the correct forum. Pull the serpentine belt and check your idler /tensioner pulley as well as air pump, ps and alt.

Start the car with the serpentine belt removed to determine if the noise is a belt driven component or a noise from another source
