Well, driving home today, and as i came around a turn, hit a pot hole. Wasnt anything abnormaly deep, but i guess it was enough to mess somethign up.

My steering feels much looser, the grinding noise speeds up as i accelerate, and when i turn the wheel, i can feel a slight vibration in the wheel (when the car is parked but running), and the noise gets deeper.

It's also leaking a translucent bronzeish fluid from right behind the belts and to the right (if looking at front of car). Leaking is pretty significant as well.

Car is an 85 Z28. With 4bbl LG4 (if that matters..) Has just under 100k miles.

Sorry if i didnt describe anything good enough, but i tried to list everything thats going on.

 

are you sure its coming from your tranny???

 

power steering pump? or power steering box? can you see where the fluid is coming from?
who said anything about the transmission?

Transmission and drive train actually but i never read what section this was in just clicked on it from the forum home sorry
