Broken metal line

Broken metal line




Hey guys, i have a broken metal line that runs from behind the engine to the hose im pointing at in the picture above, do i need this metal line? Where does it hook up to? Any help is appreciated.

That rubber hose its attached to the diverter valve. It selects if air from the A.I.R. pump goes to the exhaust manifolds, or down stream to the catalytic converter directly.

Looks to me like that cut pipe is the pipe that would have gone down to the side of (and into) the catalytic converter.

Thankyou so much! I have my y pipe off with my cat and the original metal pipe to my cat so ill be able to take this one out and put the pipe thats in ky cat into that rubber hose, thankyou so much
