Rubber engine mounts

Who sells the best stock rubber engine mounts? I can't seem to find the GM part # and reviews for these.
I don't want poly.
thanks all

Re: Rubber engine mounts

GM hasn't sold a small block in years, doubt they manufactured the mount inserts themselves in over a decade. You might find AC Delco on Rock Auto, but chances are better than average you'll get some discount brand in an AC Delco box.

I get that some people hate poly because it squeeks or it's harsh... I'm fairly picky and my personal experience was that ES poly mounts weren't at all objectionable.

Re: Rubber engine mounts

Use poly, they come in black, you can't tell the difference except they they don't break, and they don't flex....

Re: Rubber engine mounts

I switched to poly mounts recently (Energy) and you can't even tell the difference vs the stock rubber IMO. They are NOT harsh at all. I can't tell any increase in NVH.

And yeah - I doubt there is anyone out there making *quality* rubber mounts. There's no market for them and proper vulcanized rubber is CRAZY expensive to manufacture compared to poly.

Re: Rubber engine mounts

Thanks. I have Dyno Don headers and y pipe coming in 2 weeks. They suggested stock rubber to prevent the pipe from rubbing. They said poly makes it sit too high and pulls pipe up with it.

Re: Rubber engine mounts

I have Dyno Don headers and y-pipe. They were installed with worn out rubber mounts that I have since replaced with poly and I didn't have any problems before or after. The poly mounts did pull the engine forward about 1/4" and I had to adjust the y-pipe to not hit the engine cradle. Wasn't a problem though. My headers don't hit anything.
