Crossfire LU5 - Blocked Off water Passage?

Does anyone know if any if the water passage ports are purposely blocked using a plate on the 305 Crossfire Injection LU5 motor?

I had to buy a corvette gasket kit for the specific crossfire intake manifold cover-to- intake manifold gasket, and this kit came with the rear ports blocked.

I already installed new intake manifold gaskets with no ports blocked, should I be worried?

yes, rear ports are supposed to be blocked so coolant will flow through the channel under the intake and then to the heater core-not sure if any real ill effects will result with those ports open,
