4th Gen, should I buy?

I’m looking at a 94 Z28. The guy said he bought the car from a gentleman who told him it was a cammed 383 stroker engine with a NOS kit on it. He says the previous owner only had a receipt to show it. Also, the previous owner said the transmission was rebuilt, but now, the car doesn’t shift out of second. I know this is a lot of info, so I’m going to keep this short. He wants $750 for it. Buy it or not? Scam or deal? Thanks.

I don't think you understand what the word "scam" means.

What your question boils down to is if you buy a $750 car, then could you end up with a $750 car....

Unless you realy want a LT1 4th gen i'd say pass.He has no real proof of work done. Unless he has the number of the last owner.

Ugly AF those 4th gens. And the LT1..... optispark and mostly incompatible with all other things in the SBC world.

Sounds like a goat rope to me. $750 cars are usually worth what you pay for them unless you need a bunch of parts off it. Then it's a solid maybe.

Saw an LT1 Camaro in a parking lot today. They were always ugly crap, but now that they're the official hot rod beater of meth addiction, oh how the mighty have fallen. Pure garbage.
