A while ago there was a post you responded to where someone's car was overheating on the highway only, and it wasn't because of the airdam. I tried searching but couldn't find the post again. Your response said something about the lower radiator hose, right? Could you reiterate it? My 2.8 is doing the exact same thing nowadays, and I'm sure the air dam's intact. It'll sit way too high when i'm above 40 mph even w/ the fan on the entire time (i have a switch).

Thanks, --Jim--

umm yes loki, the car only seems to overheat in this one conditon. I could drive it all day under 40mph and it'd be fine, its just when i get over 40 the problem starts

I'm not Vader, but I'll respond anyway since I know that he will not. Just a hint, You can't address questions to specific people, you won't get any responses. Its kinda rude since most people here know what you're speaking of. Also, If you were Vader, Wouldn't you get SICK and TIRED of looking at those posts!!!!!!!!

Ok, just figured I'd fill you in, so now you know.

Now your problem. I never read the post, but like all of us here, we've seen it over and over again. I think the problem you are describing is the collapsing of the lower radiator hose. There should be a spring of some sort in there to prevent the hose from pinching shut under the suction of the water pump. Grab it, and check and see if its still in there. Look at all you hoses and check for folds, blockages, etc.
Post with results!!!!

Not picking on you at all, just sharing info.

Thanks Blue, comments and advice taken well Although I must say the only reason I gave the subject that name is becuase Vader has blocked his email (which is understandable and fine). I also wasn't sure as to how obscure this "hose-spring" thing was. From the one post I read a while back, I just remembered Vader being the one who answered. Anyway I was leary of posting w/ that subject name. Sorry if I seemed rude, I've never made an "attn" post before.

As for the answer portion, thank you very much, that's what I was looking to find. It definietly just happens out of nowhere, and I'm still trying to sell the car, and I'd like to sell it with a clear conscience. Hopefully now I can. If and when I do find something, I'll post --Jim--

WOW! It good to see that you're actually trying to fix a problem before you sell you're car!!!
I'm that way also, I don't try to screw people, as when I was naive, people screwed me.

Yeah, I wasn't picking on you, just saving you from the bother of the annoying posts, like: "I know what you're problem is, but I'm not Vader, so I can't help."
Sometimes people just take things the wrong way
