No Spark headache.

Hello everyone. I am new to this whole thing. I have a 1987 IROC Z that suddenly has no spark. We have replaced the entire distributor including ignition control module. And new coil. No spark still. Switched power on the pink wire is good. And the two wires that go from the coil to the distributor both have constant 12v. No spark at all coming out of new coil. (Spark tester hooked right on the stud of the coil). The injectors are popping off on time. So I have no idea what is the cause of this. Any ideas??

Re: No Spark headache.

Have you tried to disconnect the EST module bypass wire (black/white)?

Hi Geneo , Since you say you have power to the pink wire , and you have replaced the distributor and coil , and you mention "The two wires that go from the coil to the distributor both have constant 12v" , I'm left wondering if you have lost the ground ? I'm thinking if the ground shown on the right hand side of the module in Tootie's link was not good , you'd see +12v on both sides of the coil . Had you mentioned no injector pulse I'd have questioned whether the distributor was in fact turning , but since you say you do have action at the injectors the only thing I keep coming up with is a lost ground ....
