No spark issue
I'm having a crank no start issue that seems to be stemming from a no spark issue. I pulled one of the plugs (it is dirty and looks worn, but car was running fine last fall) and checked it for spark and nothing. Pulled the distributor cap, cleaned all the contacts which weren't all that dirty and checked to make sure it was spinning. Then I connected a plug to the coil wire, and again checked for spark and found nothing. I checked the voltage and the coil had 13.8 going into it. Thinking the ignition coil was bad, I changed that out and still have no spark coming from the coil with a grounded plug. The fuse for the ECM/IGN is fine. Could all of the spark plugs have gone bad over winter at once? Is it perhaps a bad ignition control module? '89 5.7l TPI

Re: No spark issue
Probably the module in the distributor.

Re: No spark issue
That was gonna be the next thing I replaced. Knew I should have just grabbed the ICM while I was at the store earlier.
