Won't start

Decided to do s tune up on my 92 rs with 5.0 tbi auto, and figured out that it was running really rough due to the previous owner neglecting it. I changed the oil, flushed out the radiator, put in a new air filter, and bought acdelco spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. My neighbor told me that my car was back firing because of the spark, so I went home, did the minor tune up, and now my car cranks, but doesnt want to start anymore. I'm guessing I messed up the wiring sequence. I used this diagram...

anyone know if this would work for my car? I tried it, and didn't work.... my vin has no 8. I did a search and couldn't find much. If anyone can lead me to another diagram for my model car, I'd appreciate it.
