problems starting after a tune up 91 TBI camaro, would appreciate help

i've got a 91 camaro RS 5.0 with TBI. last week i changed the plugs and wires and after i did so it seemed like it was missing so i replaced the cap and rotor too. but after i replaced them it wouldnt start, which i later found out was because i had a few wires crossed, well after trying to start it with the wrong firing order i fouled up the spark plugs pretty bad and had to replace them. now i've double and triple checked the firing order, the new plugs are in and it still wont start. i've got the 3 basic things to start an engine: Compression, air/fuel mixture, and spark. the only thing i can possible think of is maybe i have all the wires off by one on the cap. the #1 spark plug wire if your looking from the front of the car is on the front of the cap and on the right hand side. if anyone has any ideas i would greatly appreciate it.

im also selling an 82 camaro berlinetta which i put a used 350 engine and a used turbo 350 trans in, if anyones interested i live in woodbridge, VA close to DC

First of all it dosent matter where the rotor points in refference to the car. It could point to the pass rear tire and still work fine. It needs to point to the terminal where the #1 sparkplug wire is on the cap then follow the fireing order from there.

Only true if the rotor is pointing to the front on the compression stroke, this comprises the 4th requirement;Timing.

i dont believe any of that is the problem, i never actually cranked the car with the distributor out of the can, infact i never even took out the distributor, all i did was take off the cap and rotor and put them back on, some how or another i think the wires are crossed but i've double check it so many times it goes 18436572 starting from the front drivers side cap tower.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
The factory location for the #1 plug wire, is the very front of the dist cap, just to the driver's side of straight ahead. #1 is the front driver's side cyl, cyl. 1, 3, 5, 7 are on the driver's side front to rear, 2, 4, 6, 8 on the pass side front to rear. Firing order is 18436572 clockwise around the dist cap.

I believe you can set the firing order blind folded now.
Remove all doubt align the rotor with the #1 wire tower with the #1 cylinder on the compression stroke at DTC.

If you have spark, fuel, and compression it will fire right up.
