Has anyone from Canada ordered AFR heads from AFR direct? I spoke to them on the phone and are claiming free shipping to Canada but said I would probably get a bill from the shipping company for tax/duty.

I've been burned too many times with extra charges at delivery to just try.

I will order from summit if they price match AFR. At least with summit they give you a final price delivered to my door with no surprises.

 

It's like you just said...Get them thru Summit. At least you'll know what the final damage is. AFR will give them to a shipper (like fedex, purolator, etc) who will then charge whatever they want in terms of shipping, handling, brokerage fees, etc. And when you complain to AFR, they'll likely tell you it's not their responsibility. You shouldn't get charged duty as the heads are made in the USA and we do have NAFTA but you will get charged HST on the Cdn value. I've had that problem a couple of times and it's a crapshoot figuring how much you'll get charged until the courier shows up at your door with your stuff and won't release it until you pay the outstanding charges.
