3.1 V6 camaro

I recently did a spark plug change on my 91 camaro and now it won’t start, it ran perfectly fine before the change. I also got brand new wires. I tried seeing if it was the firing order but i tried 3 different orders but none of them worked expect one where the engine would turn on then would shut off on its own and the exhaust would back fire a lot. It’s been sitting for about a week and I have no clue what it could be, please help i only owned this car for about a month before this happened

Re: 3.1 V6 camaro

Are you absolutely sure you tried the correct firing order? For the V6 it is 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6.

Re: 3.1 V6 camaro

For Reference, the passenger side cylinder head is the #1 spark plug, unlike a standard Small Block or Big Block. Make sure you disconnect the timing plug on the fire wall before adjusting the timing. Spec is 10* BTDC.
