2.8 v6 firing order

I have an 88 Camaro and I am having trouble with the firing order. From what I have seen, it is 1-2-3-4-5-6 but since I changed it to that it has only gotten worse. Before I could get it to start but it took a few seconds and would die if it wasn't getting fuel but now it will not start at all.

1-2-3-4-5-6 is correct. Double check your wires on the cap and make sure your timing is correct.

And yes, it will die if it's not getting fuel, regardless of timing.

Note that on the 60° V6 engines #1 cylinder is the right front. That is on the passenger side.

always confused me, because when you're actually working on it, it's on the left and vice versa.
