84 camaro distributor
So I recently bought an 84 camaro and it had a computer controlled distributor in it. Unfortunately the previous owner took out the sensors and computers. Is there anyway to get the distributor to work without the computer. I tried to put a mechanically controlled one in and rewired it accordingly however I got no spark what should I do?

No there is not.
No "rewiring" should have been necessary, if the dist you put in is a stock HEI.
Correct course of action would be to repair the dist you just put in; it's obviously defective. (assuming of course that it's not a wiring problem, and there's 12V on the pink wire) Then put a non-computer-controlled carb on it if it doesn't already have one. I recommend this one https://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-0-6210. Or, if the original carb is still there, restore the "sensors" and whatnot, i.e. repair whatever damage the PO did to it.
Next thing to do would be to correct your profile. It's either a 305, or a 5.7, but not both. 305 = 5.0; 5.7 = 350. It would have come with a 305.

Re: 84 camaro distributor
When you get the HEI diz install figured out
and a full 12 volt (key switched) supply to the diz power input,
Also be sure to ground the engine to the firewall of the car. Eg from valve cover bolt to firewall..
This eliminates a bad ground loop thru the cars shifter cable which plays havic with HEI spark performsnce.
