will my compression change?
will my compression change?
i might be beating this to death but, my 8.5:1 compression 350 is getting a new set of heads. the current heads are junk. 72cc. vortec was an option, now im leaning towards the sportsman II's because i dont have to change as much and they flow a little better. if i were to get the 64cc sportsman2's, would the head change increase my compression to a little higher number if i use the same gasket thickness's/ whatever? if someone has it, i would like an old style formula to calculate this. just to have. anyways, I just want to know if i would bump up the compression to a little healthier of a number. if noone feels like giving me formulas or numbers. a simple yes or no answer would do just fine. will it increase my compression with these heads? 72cc or 64cc? y/n? im not too good with heads so any help for this would be appreciated.

Yes it will go up everything else remaining the same. How much? I am not really sure, but I am sure it will be close to 9:1. Smebody who knows math will probaly be more exact, but it will go up.
