Decent EGR valve manufacturer?
‘88 L03, faulty original EGR valve.
Is Standard Ignition/Borg Warner a good choice?
AC Delco Delphi is twice the price & not immediately available.
Thanks!

Replacing a faulty original ‘88 EGR valve on a TBI L03. Is the above manufacturer good?
A GM Delphi EGR is twice the price & wait. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Re: Standard Ignition/ Borg Warner EGR valve good quality?
The "quality" is just fine. Probably made by the same company that makes em for Delphi. (which IS NOT GM, and hasn't been for decades now) More likely, it's somebody like "Acme EGR and Slop Mops".
Bigger problem will be, the listings in the catalogs, particularly things like "positive pressure" ones vs "negative pressure" and things like that. But for a TBI motor, the simplest of the simple throughout the years those were made, any EGR valve you buy will probably be fine.
Especially those 2 brands, which are both familiar and long-lived suppliers of such things to the replacement market. Both of em have been around for my entire time in this hobby, very nearly a half century now; and they weren't new when I started out. You don't achieve that sort of longevity by acquiring a bad reputation for selling CRAP that doesn't work.
