305 Block to350ci?

305 Block to350ci?

I have my old 305 sitting at the shop still. Is that block usefull. Could I send it to a machine shop and haveit bored to whatever a 350 is and throw all 350 parts on it. Is it the same block..

A.K.A what can I do with my 305.

I think the maximum displacement you can get from a 305 is something like 334 ci. You can make some power with a 305 it's just gonna cost more than making the same with a 350 or bigger. Any particular reason you want to play with the 305? You could always sell it and spend the money on that good looking car ya got.

Yeah, you can bore a 305 to a 350. When you do, you also change the cooling to a killer direct cylinder coolant injection setup.

Point well taken I just didnt know if it was all the same just a smaller bore or not.

so if you dont mind me asking Im sure its been answered alot, how much can I bore it over 30? or 60? what crank do I need, all that basic fun stuff. Just looking for something to waste time on.

oh yeah, I couldnt get much for the 305, its blown....well almost it taps REALLY loud like a rod or something is about to fly through it. and 1/2 of the TPI is used on my 350 or sold.

I have heads getting done now, while thats getting done I'll POSSIBLY, small chance, get an edelbrock TPI manifold and Im done for a while....to much money.
