My 88 gta swap tech answers
Hey so I was talking alot last year hear about never getting honed killing my je rings in 3000kms
and my question was asking if I had to pull the engine out to get the oil pan off with a lt1 t56
I just toll the engine apart off the heads are off and I got the oil pan loose I took the engine mount bolts off raised it up 2 inches.maybe 3 and the oil pan was way loose and I couldn't get it out it hit the flywheel
at least 4 inches short
so now I have to pull my t56 out and stwvlr the engine with 2 jacks and get the pan off that way
it's a automatic thing that you can clear that
there is no way I'm earth my t5 or t56 flywheel would clear it
I am out honing the engine and taking the t56 off tomm
I'm gonna hone it my self with time new summit rings thin ones
I would just say for 150% for sure it won't
I'll have pics after ty
